Baby Zoe, daughter of Miss Mommie Molly and Christian; granddaughter of GrannyAnnie and RogerDoger; May 10, 2006. Notes From the Real World This month my ~real~ world took a new path. On April 18 I had breast cancer surgery. I am optimistic as we, Prairie People, are burdened with a good attitude and lots of fight. I learned of the lump through regular mammograms, which many women cannot afford. What can you do? Help other women, who are less fortunate. It doesn't cost you a penny, and it only takes a nano-second.
A Favor to Ask The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/ I begin 4 months of chemo this week, and if each of you hits this button daily during my chemo, just imagine the contribution, which the readers of WinkWorld, will make in our war against breast cancer. Go Team! We're going for the victory. Enjoy pictures of the Littlest Team Members.
