Prairie Pedagogy
Previously, I have had a repeated section, Welcome to The World, to honor new babies in our life. Today, I begin another new section, New Angels, to honor those who have gone before us. We begin.
A New Angel
Notes From the Real World The month we have had so much tragic news about violence in public education. I simply want to thank the administrators and teachers, who are daily in the schools working for children and the future. We honor you. I am moving through radiation very well and working full-time. I'm okay as long as I take my naps. The Herceptin infusion continues every 21 days. I am better every day, and my hair is finally and slowly beginning to grow. At the moment, it appears to be coming in as a mixture of ebony and ivory. I feel like I am channeling my mother, who had black hair. She died of breast cancer at age 28.
