It is normal for school districts to have internet filters which block unknown messages. In addition, teachers often give us only their .edu email. Because of this, we receive bounce-backs from many teachers, who then wonder why they are not receiving this newsletter. Notes From the Real World
The month we have had so much tragic news about violence in public education. I simply want to thank the administrators and teachers, who are daily in the schools working for children and the future. We honor you.
I am moving through radiation very well and working full-time. I'm okay as long as I take my naps. The Herceptin infusion continues every 21 days. I am better every day, and my hair is finally and slowly beginning to grow. At the moment, it appears to be coming in as a mixture of ebony and ivory. I feel like I am channeling my mother, who had black hair. She died of breast cancer at age 28.
