Dueling Models of Dual Language Instruction

Abstract: The purposes of this symposium are to (a) define and describe theoretical models of dual language instruction; (b) present research on implementation of each model; and (c) document the possibilities and pitfalls of program implementation within a sociocultural and political context.

  • A paradigm for examining the congruence, or match, between the theoretical model, teachers' beliefs, and actual classroom practices
